The Entrance Ceremony and Guidance of the “International Graduate Programme for East Asia Sustainable Economic Development Studies (East Asia Course)” was held on October 3, 2013.
The Dean of the Graduate School of Economics, Professor Ueta delivered his welcome address to all the new international students. Then the Programme Director, Professor Hisano, and other faculty members in charge explained the programme outline and the precise description of courses that are offered in this semester. New students from various countries were listening attentively to each presentation and explanation with earnest eyes filled with joyful expectations.
This academic year of 2013/2014, East Asia Course has received 9 new students from China, Indonesia, Nepal, Egypt and Turkey, including one who has been enrolled in the doctoral programme. Other three exchange students from our international partner universities in China and Germany also attended the Ceremony and Guidance. After the Ceremony and Guidance, a social gathering was held and joined by the current EA Course students, making a good start of the new academic year in a friendly atmosphere.
