【Oct.20, 2014】 Public Lecture : Amory B. Lovins “The path to energy shift”

Public Lecture organized by Renewable Energy Economics Program Chair

Research directed to the advancement of renewable energy must be pursued from two perspectives: overcoming technological hurdles, and designing social and economic systems that will promote renewable energy use. The former perspective has dominated research to date, but the Renewable Energy Economics Research Chair is committed instead to the latter perspective.

We are delighted to announce that Amory B. Lovins, Chairman and Chief Scientist of Rocky Mountain Institute will be speaking at our public lecture.

    Amory B. Lovins

    is Chairman and Chief Scientist of Rocky Mountain Institute, and he is widely considered among the world’s leading authorities on energy, and has advised governments and major firms worldwide on advanced energy and resource efficiency since 1970s. He has received received multiple awards including the Right Livelihood Award, the Blue Planet Prize.
    Time magazine named him one of the world’s 100 most influential people, and Foreign Policy listed him in its “Top 100 Global Thinkers” list.
