1897 Kyoto Imperial University founded.
1900 First economics lecture (Public¬ Finance) delivered at the College of Law.
1915 Keizai Ronsō first published.
1919 Faculty of Economics established.
1926 The Kyoto University Economic Review first published (later renamed The Kyoto Economic Review).
1948 Survey and Resources Office established (later renamed the Economic Research Office).
1949 Kyoto University reorganized under the new educational system.
1953 Graduate School of Economics established.
1962 Kyoto Institute of Economic Research established.
1984 Special Admission for International Applicants and Third Year Admission introduced.
1988 Essay-type entrance examination initiated.
2000 Graduate School of Economics Project Center established.
2002 Shanghai Center established (later renamed Center for East Asian Economic Studies).
2004 National University Corporation Kyoto University established.
2006 Graduate School of Management and School of Government established.
2009 East Asia International Human Resource Development Course established (later renamed International Graduate Program for East Asia Sustainable Economic Development Studies).
2014 Three Joint Research Projects initiated.
Kyoto University selected for MEXT Top Global University Project.
