【May 25, 2016】 Senior Lecturer of the University of Queensland Visits the Graduate School of Economics
On May 25th 2016, Dr. Marco Faravelli, Senior Lecturer of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law, the University of Queensland, visited the Graduate School of Economics and Faculty of Economics.
Dr. Natsuka Tokumaru, Senior lecturer, Mr. Yusuke Arai, Head of the International Affairs Office, and Ms. Aki Hama, International Coordinator welcomed Dr. Faravelli and had a meeting about the student exchange between the two universities. Dr. Faravelli also had discussions themed on “Are Economists Different?” with the students.
Kyoto University and the University of Queensland signed the university-level Memorandum of Understanding for Academic Cooperation in 2012. Dr. Tokumaru and Mr. Arai together with the staff members of the Head office of Kyoto University visited the University of Queensland on February 29th and March 1st 2016 to meet with the Faculty of Business Economics and Law, School of Economics and other University of Queensland members to discuss future student exchange.
Dr. Faravelli returned a visit, and Dr. Faravelli, Dr. Tokumaru, Mr. Arai, and Ms. Hama all agreed that both faculties will strengthen the cooperation with each other.
