If you are wondering, “What should I research?”, start by exploring fields that genuinely interest you. Alternatively, consider “What keywords resonate with me?” or “What kind of impact do I hope to achieve through my research?” Working backward from your ideal vision can be an effective way to define your research direction.
Economics is a discipline that allows us to structure intriguing ideas logically and derive robust empirical evidence through meticulous research design. 自己紹介

私は経済学の視点から途上国における社会課題を研究し、社会から見えにくい貧困層が直面する問題を探求しています。また、経済学分野ではまだ少数派である女性として、女性の悩みや価値、そしてそれらを解決・発揮する方法を模索しています。
エビデンスに基づいた政策提言を通じて、より多くの人が better off できる未来を目指し、経済学の力で社会に貢献していきたいと考えています。

I study social issues in developing countries from economic approaches, with a particular focus on uncovering the challenges faced by marginalized communities that are often invisible to society. As a woman in the field of economics, where female representation remains limited, I explore the concerns, values, and empowerment of women, as well as ways to address these issues effectively.
Through evidence-based policy recommendations, I strive to contribute to a future where more people can achieve a better quality of life, utilizing the power of economics to drive social progress.
