I.Letter of Provisional Acceptance for those who passed the first screening

Q1. How can I contact the prospective academic advisor for requesting a Letter of Provisional Acceptance?
Q2. How can I find email addresses of professors in the Graduate School of Economics?
Q3. I sent all documents necessary for a Letter of Provisional Acceptance to a professor in GSE but did not get any reply from him/her. What should I do?

–>A1. A2. A3. In our Graduate School of Economics, applicants who have passed the first screening of the MEXT scholarship must apply for AAO Process in order to request a Letter of Provisional Acceptance from a future academic advisor.
Sending emails directly to professors is prohibited.

II. Admission to the Doctoral Program

Q4. Could you please send me information regarding your doctoral program? I am particularly interested in application procedures, application forms, matriculation requirements, tuition fees, and deadlines.

Q6. My government has granted me a scholarship for my research stay in Japan. They will also pay a certain amount of the matriculation and tuition fees. Could you tell me how I can study at your Graduate School for one semester under the guidance of a professor of GSE.

Q08. I am fluent in English but not in Japanese. Do I have to learn Japanese to get admission to your faculty/graduate school?

–>A8. For applicants to our regular course, applicants are required to be able to read, write and speak Japanese fluently.
We have International Graduate Programme in which the courses are provided in English. In case you would like to take courses in English, please consider applying to our International Graduate Programme of East Asia Sustainable Economic Development Studies programme.
