Special Seminar on Business Tendency Survey in Vietnam

[Title] “OPERATING BUSINESS TENDENCY SURVEY IN VIETNAM”

[Speaker] Dr. Khoi Van LUONG (コイ ヴァン ルアン)
Director, Department of World Economy,
National Centre for Socio-economic Information and Forecast (NCIF),
Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), Vietnam

Dr. Khoi is an expert in SME promotion and regional/local economic development.
He is also an accredited Investment Specialist of the MPI, Government of Vietnam.
He has been in charge of economic analysis to provide recommendations to the Government
in formulating development policies, including the five-year Socio-Economic Development Plan
and support program for SME development.

[Description]
The aim of this paper is to present the process of building Actual Business Status Indices and Business Tendency Indices by means of a Business Tendency Survey in Vietnam. These indices of the present situation and future tendencies are essential for the Vietnamese government to effectively manage the national economy and formulate sound policies/strategies and for the private sectors to supervise their business activities, since they serve as one of the most important early warning indicators of the economy.
